The tift between the Blues and the Canucks seems to be over, with the Blues walking away with D man Mike Weaver.

From the Blues Site:

Blues Sign Defenseman Mike Weaver
St. Louis Blues
Jul 10, 2008, 1:58 PM EDT
ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today the club has signed free agent defenseman Mike Weaver.

Weaver, 30, played in 55 games last season with the Vancouver Canucks, registering one assist, 33 penalty minutes and a plus-one rating. The 5-9, 182-pound defenseman has played in 204 NHL games, recording 25 points (three goals, 22 assists) along with 93 penalty minutes.

The Bramalea, Ontario native was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Atlanta Thrashers on June 15, 2000.

Also, the new season's schedule is set to come out the 17th. I really wish the teams' websites would put them out in iCal format for easy download.
