As the Walt Turns.

This was in today's P-D: Walt wants to come back. He's an invaluable leader, and I'm not buying the "He's taking away a roster spot from a young guy!" argument. Who is he taking a roster spot from? And, after the free agents walk, the only vet on the squad is Barrett Jackman. Tkachuk serves a purpose on the team, he wants to be here, he loves the city... heck, a year's extension won't kill us. Give him something before he retires, eh? And what team really wants to let their #3 goal scorer walk? The fact that he played as well as he did at his age is amazing. He looked like a 25 year old at times during the playoffs. There's still gas in that tank.
