Classy as he wants to be.

Brett Hull's speech was nothing but pure class last night. The Post-Dispatch and the Belleville News-Democrat both have outstanding write ups on it, but neither of them caught what I thought was the best, most truly humble and thankful part - him remembering Peter Zezel and being the only one to do so the entire broadcast - and that includes TSN who put the broadcast together.

Thank you, Brett, for your kind words about the Blues organization and for remembering a teammate with the utmost graciousness and class.

I thought his speech was one of the best I've ever heard. When he was talking about the beer-league guys and the moms taking kids to practice and dads working late, it moved me!

For someone who has such a rep for being an outspoken tool in the locker room, I thought his speech was the best out of all of them, by far.
